(U.S. Made) 4 Enkay Polishing Compounds -- How to Soften Them And The Coarse To Fine Gradations Graphic xer*** As some have already noted, this product is hard and dry. I thought the other reviewers likely received "old", dry stock. I hoped I would receive a "fresh" bar with a consistency of Dove soap and be able to easily apply it to a 5" diameter wool-felt ("hook and loop") buffing pad. That proved not to be the case. Spinning the buffing pad against the bar just generated blue dust, with little or no blue compound adhering to the buffing pad itself. Other than abrasive powder, this bar likely contains a hard hydrocarbon-based wax filler. It can be melted in a metal can over a low gas flame, but when removed from the heat, soon solidifies again. It does not seem to dissolve in alcohols or ketones (I tried isopropyl alcohol and acetone). My workaround was to shave small pieces off the blue bar using a sharp knife into a small container (a plastic measuring cup from a bottle of liquid laundry detergent), add a small amount of Mineral Spirits (i.e. hydrocarbon distillates), then crush and stir the pieces into a smooth paste with a metal spoon. After that, it worked as desired, on the wool-felt buffing pad, to polish a cultured marble counter top. Also, I hope these pictures, from an actual Enkay bar package, help those of us unfamiliar with the various grades (coarse to fine) of Enkay polishing compounds choose the requisite grade. NO THIS DOESN'T DRAIN UNBEARABLY SLOW, YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE LID OFF WHEN DRAINING. It may be a little wobbly but IT WILL NOT BREAK. IVE WASHED BIG BATH TOWELS AND JACKETS AND HOODIES AND BED SHEETS. IT'S NOT GOING TO BREAK. It uses three gallons of water to wash and two to rinse but that's subjective. I fill to the inside fill line right above the dirty clothes inside the machine and add a little detergent. Close lid and crank for 5 minutes. Then I leave it alone and go do something else for a while for it to soak. Then I come back and crank it for another 5-10 minutes and the clothes are done. I put the drain tube on and then take the lid off. When that's done draining, I literally leave it right where it's at with the drain tube on, then just pour two gallons of water over the top to rinse. I might agitate it with my hand to get everything. Then I leave them there draining for a minute and I put the clothes in my clothes spinner to get excess water out. I flap the clothes to fluff them and get anything like hair and stuff off once out of the laundry spinner, and hang them to dry and they're done drying by the next morning. I've done this for a year now. A regular washing machine can use up to 40 gallons of water, so this is saving me tremendously. BUY IT NOW it's a great investment I promise. The people in these reviews are writing reviews on something they don't even know how to use. Trust me, it's worth the money. Plus you can still do laundry during a power outage! This machine works best with hot water and I NEVER have to spot clean or pretreat any spots so idk what these ppl are talking about. Green Toys My First Stacker, Colors May Vary 4 Fun Stacker - But Stinks! Ki*** I was excited to purchase these for my 8 month old. We needed a lightweight stacker and the shapes and colors are great (more on that in a bit). But when they came out of the box, I noticed a smell - somewhere between Tide laundry detergent and faint cigarette smoke. At first I planned to return them, thinking they came from a smoker's home (and someone who maybe wore a lot of perfume), but then I remembered the other reviews about the odor. I can smell it from a foot away - my daughter can definitely smell it since it goes straight into her mouth (though it doesn't stop her). I trust (I hope) that Green Toys is as green and safe as they say they are - typically, bad smells mean chemicals or other gross things. At the same time, I wouldn't want Green Toys to add perfumes or other fragrances just to mask the smell from production. But some disclaimer about the smell (and some reassurance that it was safe) would be nice. On the colors: They're a lovely, even pastel color scheme, but I'm missing the red. I love that baby stackers teach kids about color order and while these are in the appropriate order, it skips red and goes back to blue (mine are in the opposite order show: blue at the top, orange at the bottom). That's $750 a week, I don't think so. Obvious straw men used in the book as well, mostly referring her advising not to stockpile because it "might" lead to hoarding, oh please. She doesn't like stockpiling, I understand, I don't like it either but when I can pick up the laundry detergent or toilet paper that we use for nothing or close to it, I'm buying as much as possible and you can call it stockpiling, hoarding, or whatever you want the label doesn't mean anything to me, the fact that I "saved" another $100 or $300 in this years budget and the fact I don't have to buy anymore this year means a lot more. Necoichi Kimono Ribbon Cat Collar (White) 4 Couldn't stand the water fanatic Jerem*** My boyfriend really loved this collar for his cat, but sadly the decorative bow didn't last long. The seams along the edge of the bow didn't stay together through the month, and had to be cut off because they were opening to show the stuffing inside. Aside from the bow failing to stay together, and the white color picking up a LOT of our cat's black hair, it's been durable, even lasting through a hot soak in laundry detergent to clean it which I was sure would ruin the moleskin. We're still using it, just minus the bow. Our cat may have caused the bow to fall apart, she likes playing in water, and the bow seemed to have been glued together and not sewn. It's likely the collar constantly being wet dissolved the glue, so it's not great for an outdoor cat or a cat with a thing for the toilet. The towels look nice, and the colors stay fast in the wash, but there are at least two major issues with these towels. The first is that they are not absorbent. Like, at all. They aren't great for wiping up messes and certainly need to be hung to dry for a few days after wiping hands after a few washes. The biggest issue for me, though, is that they smell. Horribly. We washed them with vinegar and an unscented laundry detergent, but they smelled horrible after 1-2 uses. We tried washing them in a few different laundry solutions to get the smell out and washing immediately after using but NOTHING worked.
