He was surrounded by ripped out pages of the coloring book which he must have worked on after putting him to bed the night prior. Other than the slight embarrassment my son probably felt from having to go to school with the 5'o'clock shadow of a sharpie beard that we couldn't remove we carried on. Later that evening the two of us went to Walmart to pick up a few things. I was in the body wash section when I noticed he was missing. Quilte*** The initial shelf unit came in a damaged, somewhat(?) taped together box. Appeared that it had been dropped during shipping and busted out one end of the box. Really destroyed the styrofoam that was in the box to keep parts from shifting and rubbing against one another. It was stuffed back into the box and the taped with a very large gap at one end. You could easily see into the box. Because the styrofoam was all broken they just stuffed in the bigger pieces with no padding. All three of the shelves had gouges in them. It also was missing one of the needed 9 screws. This appeared to be a shipping issue. I contacted the seller by email and sent pictures of the box as it arrived as well as the damaged pieces. They promptly sent another shelf unit to me. They wanted to do a will call pick up for the following day but I was out of town for a week so they told me I could let them know when I was back in town and they would set it up. When I got back home I notified them they could set up the will call for 2 days out. In the meantime, I opened the replacement unit that had arrived. All parts and pieces were there. One leg had splintering where the middle screw hole was drilled and another had an issue with the insert that the screw goes into being placed too deep and the screw was too short to reach it so I switched those legs with ones from the original shipment before packing it up to send back. I ordered this to place in a large shower for shampoo/conditioner, body wash, etc. because I am having knee surgery and needed my toiletries on a level with a shower chair so I did not have to get up and down to reach what I need. I've included a photo. (I just realized that I failed to get the yellow dot sticker off the leg after I assembled. LOL) It was a bit frustrating that between the shipping issue and poor quality control it took two units to be able to assemble one. But in the end I will say that the shelf is sturdy, beautiful and just what I was looking for. And I cannot complain about the company's customer service as they shipped another unit out promptly.
