Anti-Inflammatory Diet Instant Pot Cookbook: Easy Recipes to Reduce Inflammation 3 If you aren’t already on an anti-inflammatory diet, then pass S. Pet*** I’m not new to The Instant Pot. I was excited to add this one to my collection of favorite cookbooks. However I was disappointed. If you are already on an anti-inflammatory diet, then this book might be worthwhile but it definitely isn’t if you’re not trapped on that diet. Here’s why expectations fell short for the average person: 1. There are very few pictures of food in this cookbook. You can’t tell me that there wasn’t enough room, there are a number of pages with a leaf motif - publisher didn’t want to spend the ink in a book in which seeing an image of food would give a person an opportunity to be interested to make it. Or the authors don’t understand the psychology of what is needed for enticement. 2. Coloring book type paper. Seriously? In a cookbook they opted for the absorbent inexpensive type of paper instead or the kind that can handle a bit of splashing? This is not ideal for a cookbook that a person plans on actually using. And although one of my other favorite cookbooks has this type of paper, it at least utilizes its space properly for pictures and recipes. 3. This layout is rough to read, but what do I know? I just review medical technical data for a living and translate it to layman’s terms. Yikes, this publisher “callisto” is either scraping for pennies and struggling or is overly cheap investing in their publications. Why didn’t their editors/review team work with these authors more? Oh, just noticed the authors are medical professionals? The stiffness of this book’s personality - yuck. 4. There aren’t a lot of healthy recipes useful to my personal household. If I were already trapped exclusively on an anti-inflammatory diet, then maybe this would have deserved 4 stars, but the truth is, there must not be a lot of options for people on this diet. For example the intro chapter on how to use the instant pot and about what anti-inflammatory foods are in this book is on average 4 pages longer than all my instant pot books. It just kind of feels like a big old lecture on what to eat than giving options on what a person can eat by filling the book with actual recipes. I was personally looking for a recipe or two to add to our meal prep rotation and this book fell flat. I might have something else that is a vegetable that’s there broccoli or whatever I just wanna warm it up and I’ll put everything in there for a couple of minutes and then or even zero minutes zero minutes to warm it up usually yes you can do zero minutes and it’ll come to pressure and then it goes off and if it’s just a warm-up, the thing is steamed hot already that chicken is hot to the bone so by the time you hit a release on it and by the time you can open the lid that that chicken is hot so it’s a real nice way to warm up leftovers. If you know, I’m in the microwave or you can’t get to it or can’t turn it on or whatever reason it’s not working this gadget is good Sandy and I would recommend it for anybody. I just cut my potatoes in half a little red potatoes and put them on the bottom of the instant pot put my green beans on top and I use all of the fluid that’s in the green beans as the fluid for steaming or pressure cooking. I cook my bacon on the stove in a skillet and I drain it off and I smash it with paper towels to get as much as the grease out as I can and I put that on top of the green beans and I steam that for about 20 minutes, those potatoes are good and soft and the green beans are delicious in the bacon has gone through the smell all through that pot. it’s fantastic. It’s delicious. It’s a easy thing. It doesn’t take long. When I bought my Cosori 6-quart pressure cooker, I remember trying to use the two inner pots I had from previous pressure cookers, and finding them unable to fit. So I had some trepidation about ordering this pot that fits "most" 6-qt cookers, without Cosori being expressly mentioned. However, I've now used it for multiple cooking sessions, and it has fit just fine without leaks or any other problems. The one difference I've noticed is this pot is marginally taller than my Cosori pot (by a couple of millimeters—apparently not enough to affect the performance). Was I wrong from the beginning, and could I have kept my older pots? I don't know, but I'm happy to have this pot. Having at least 2 pots is essential for anyone who hates hand-washing dishes and pressure cooks more often than they run the dishwasher. The second pot means I can have one waiting to be washed while another dish is already cooking. This pot is especially nice, because its uniform stainless steel construction means it is resistant to scratches, unlike my original pot, which has completely lost its coating on the outside bottom after 2 years of light use, and which still has stuff stuck to the inside bottom despite being supposedly "nonstick." I haven't put this pot to the test of time, but based on my early experiences, I can't imagine any reason why it wouldn't serve me well for ages of pressure cooking to come! B0HC3RNGYP US

Instant Pot 4QT Vortex Plus 6-in-1 Mini Air Fryer, Custom Program Options, Crisps, Broils, Roasts, Dehydrates, Bakes, Reheats, 100+ In-App Recipes, Stainless Steel,4 Quarts 2 Chemical smell AND taste in food, worse over time Pay*** This air fryer has given off a chemical/plastic like smell since I bought it, and over time the smell has gotten significantly worse and transfers to the food. My most recent meal tasted so strongly of chemicals that it was inedible, and the smell lingered throughout my house for over an hour after turning it off. I bought this in 2021 but have only used it occasionally, maybe once every few months, so it has not had heavy use. I’ve stopped using it and reported the issue to Instant and the CPSC. I don’t know what is causing the smell, but I would not feel comfortable continuing to cook food in it. Doing two stars so hopefully more people see this. B08R6KMBQT US

I really liked it. Used it maybe once a week (averaging weeks using it 4 times and weeks using it 0 times) for the 8 months it worked. Then it just died. It wasn't the thermo-fuse so not easy to repair. Just completely dead; wouldn't turn on. Not buying it again, will try another brand.
