Alligator Stainless Steel Chopper - Onion dicer, Vegetable and Fruit Cutter 2 Bad design, poor quality Jo*** I was looking for a chopper and didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a fancy electric one (I’ve had electronic appliances break and it’s a P.I.T.A.). So I thought I’d give this one a try- seemed sturdy from the pics and expensive ($141) enough to last a while. I was wrong. The first time I used it, one of the small rubber legs broke off on the bottom. These things can happen, so I super glued it back on, no worries. But after using it a few more times, the leg fell off again. And again. Annoying, because when you chop chop, it’s all unsturdy- imagine a wobbly table at a restaurant. Aside from quality issues, I’m not a huge fan of how you use it. There is no method to keep the unchopped food on the platform- you have to balance it on there, and it’s quite messy. I attached a few pictures. On top of this, I’ve had issues with the blade piece sticking to the bottom part when you lift the lid back up, and everything falls out. On a good note, the food does come out chopped exactly as needed. I just feel like I’d have an easier time with a hammer and a tennis racket. Just completed my return. Back to an expensive plug-in. The other end on mine was not tapered, likely because if you're using this for something else, you might need to taper it at a different length. Oh, and that little black strip that is holding the bundle together out of the package? That's not packaging - that's finishing tape. Wrap that around the exposed end of the tap for a nice clean finish! PS - it wasn't super clear to me at the time of ordering if this would be a 2-pack.
