Same issue. I've also noticed the part holding the hands in place seems to loosen over time. I'm not moving or handling the clock when this happens. It's simply hanging on the wall. Why does this keep happening? It's disappointing because I really do like the clock itself. It's lightweight, easy to read, and the retro cat design is adorable. The second hand also moves silently, so there isn't a constant ticking sound. Unfortunately, a clock ultimately needs to keep time, and I can't get this one to do that consistently. The only assembly required was attaching the pendulum and inserting batteries, and I had no trouble with either. The hands on my clock were perfectly aligned when it arrived, although the instruction manual did mention that if they were not aligned, they could be pushed back into place. This brings me to my first small complaint - the hands of the clock are a bit flimsy. Although they survived shipping just fine, were I to need to transport this clock anywhere else or were it to fall off of my wall, I would be very concerned about the hands breaking or becoming bent. Luckily, it did come with a replacement hour and minute hand. Setting the time was easy - you just turn a small knob on the back. In terms of appearance, the clock is modern and elegant and adds a nice touch to my bedroom without drawing too much attention. It's on the larger side, but not overly so. The pendulum does hang down quite far, so be aware of this when planning where to put the clock. The clock comes with a 3-pronged drywall anchor for hanging, but I opted to hang it on the side of my dresser so used an adhesive command hook instead. Thankfully, it's not heavy, and it's been in place for about two weeks now with no issues. I also haven't noticed any lag in the time - of course, specific minutes are not marked, so this is really more of a decorative piece than an actual timekeeping device. Still, it's seemed to stay pretty accurate over the last few weeks. A big point - this thing is quiet!! This was one of my biggest concerns when buying this clock. I've purchased tickless clocks only to find buzzing motors or loud movement of the hands. I have no such issues with this product, and I am very happy. Lastly, value for money. I'll be honest - $45 is a lot for a piece like this. Although it looks nice, I can't say it's exceptionally well-constructed. I've already mentioned the flimsy hands, and the rest of the clock follows suit - solid appearance, not so solid when you pick it up. That lightweight design I mentioned makes me think that this product is mostly plastic, baring the decorative wire. Even the pendulum pob isn't particularly heavy. This isn't necessarily a bad thing - as I've mentioned, it makes it easy to hang. However, for $45, one does want something a little more solid than this. Overall, there's only so much one can say about a clock like this - it is a fantastic piece of background decor, medium-sized, and doesn't make any noise.
