The book was published before roasted peppers, balsamic and other flavoured vinegars and gorgonzola cheese were as commonly used in the everyday North American kitchen as they are today. Since it focuses on soups, pastas and stews, with a few side dishes or accompaniments in a chapter at the back of the book, there is a huge variety. The soups range from the traditional, like borscht or mushroom, to chestnut soup with brandy and cream, or cream of lettuce. The stews, pastas, and salads have names that get your mouth watering: chicken tagine with prunes, onions, and almonds; braised short ribs with onions, mustard and white wine; lamb stew with rosemary and capers; penne with black olive purée and ricotta; Bibb, watercress, walnut, olive and Gruyère salad with creamy walnut dressing, etc. The recipes combine ingredients with flair, and the results are delicious, a symphony of flavours and texture. Even their chili recipe includes red wine, coriander and chocolate. This book is one to be enjoyed when you love cooking and have the time to prepare meals. What is better than the aroma of a hearty soup or stew, simmering for hours on the stove on a wet autumn day? It is a great book for those who have a well-stocked spice rack, and who are not daunted by a long list of ingredients. The difficulty during my shopping with finding something that could be *easily* mounted *under* a cabinet. This fit the bill exactly. It holds the tins firmly but also easily releases them. Although there are no installation instructions, as other reviewers have noted, it's fairly straight-forward to install. The biggest problem I had was getting the depth of the screws "just so" to allow for attached bracket to slide on. I did find that the included screws were too long to easily drive into hardwood, but that was easily correctly by using shorter screws I had on hand. I often find the larvae hanging out near the spice rack and the moths hanging from the ceiling and upper walls in the kitchen. Throughout the day I take out around 30 of them. But there’s always more! As far as tackling the problem, we eventually ended up grabbing this due to availability and urgency. DOES IT WORK? -(Sorta, but needs improvement). Pros: Attracts them out of thin air in an instant. Cons: It ain’t sticky enough. Majority of them manage to escape the glue with ease. However if they flop around the right way, their wings get stuck. I’d suggest getting rid of the little packet wrapper that contains the red pheromone tab outside, so they don’t flock to your trash bin inside. Also, try to use one trap at a time to avoid confusion. You want them focused on one area, where they like to hang out. In the meantime, I’d buy a stickier trap for the tabs. B000KFSLMO US

The bottles are glass with nice quality white caps + shaker attachments inside. I had planned on putting this inside my cupboard but it was nice enough to make the bench-top! Easily passes for a design store piece provided you dont use the included (ugly) labels. Looks better affixing a simply label to the glass and just peering in the top to find what you want. Like most spice bottles they dont fit a teaspoon but a 1/2 teaspoon measuring spoon fits comfortably. No problems with the dishwasher either. While assembling this bar I discovered that the drill holes were poorly spaced and the included hardware did not fit properly. The tops of the cap nuts for the chin-up bar popped off when I tried to tighten them because the eye-bolts were too long. The stability and chin-up bars are each two-piece assemblies that slide into each other and secure with a sheet-metal screw, but the holes for the screw line up in such a way that you cannot snugly fit the two halves together. As a result, both bars bow in the center when under load (I weigh about 180 lbs). The door frame back-bar is plastic and bends when placed under load. The foam on the stability bar is woefully indequate and left marks on my door frame the first time I used it. The tolerances used in manufacturing this thing might have been ok for an IKEA spice rack, but they are unacceptable for a product that is supposed to hold up to 300 lbs (manufacturer's specs) without damaging your door frame. Household Essentials 6-Tier Basket Over-The-Door Organizer, Red 4 The shelves on this unit are large and sturdy Larry S*** It is easy to assemble, truly "no tools required". The shelves are sturdy, have fairly high walls front and back, nothing falls out. The over-the-door hanging brackets are relatively flimsy. They have held up for us because my wife uses the unit as a spice rack, and the containers are relatively light. I don't think the door brackets would hold up well under the load of canned goods. Here's a consideration: The shelves stick out fairly far from the door. Our pantry door is nominally 24 inches wide. Before the shelf installation the door opening was 22", Now that the shelves hang on the inside the opening is only 18 inches. I used to be able to just open the door and step into the pantry. Now I have to turn sideways to avoid hitting the shelves with my shoulder or hip. After we installed the unit and loaded the shelves, the unit tended to swing when the door was opened or shut. Loading heavier items at the top helps, but doesn't cure it. I ended up drilling a hole in the bottom outside plastic bracket where is sits against the door. I then put in just one short wood screw for stabilization; that stopped the swinging. Another reviewer talked about not being able to use screws in a hollow-core door, but I find my stabilizer screw holds just fine. Just don't make it too tight, or you will pull it out of the thin wood. Finally, I wonder what's with the unit being available only in bright, flashy colors? Why not white, or tan, or gray?
