COTGCO Portable Electric Coffee Grinder, Small and Quiet USB Rechargeable Espresso Grinder with Stainless Steel Blade, for Ho 4 Works well for small amount of coffee beans. Doesn't work at all for herbs and spices... Cust*** Review of: Cotgco Portable Electric Coffee Grinder, USB Rechargeable Espresso Grinder ⭐⭐⭐⭐ What I like about it: - The instructions are clear and straightforward making it easy to figure out how to use this grinder. - You can set the grind of the coffee from fine to course with several settings in-between the two. - I like that it's portable. - I like that it holds a charge for a considerable amount of time. I've used it multiple times and have only had to charge it once. - I like that it's heavy duty and obviously made of quality materials. Where there is room for improvement: - It's a little pricey for my budget. - Originally I was hoping to use this coffee grinder for herbs as well as coffee beans, like an electric mortar and pestle. I use a standard plug-in grinder that I have at home and it works beautifully for both coffee beans and herbs. I was excited to try this one to do the same, but unfortunately it doesn't work very well with spices and dried herbs. The weight of the herbs is not enough for the grinder to register that there is anything in the chamber, so it automatically stops after just a couple of seconds. Even when I press the start button numerous times, it just spins and barely grinds anything. So unfortunately, if you are hoping to use this for grinding herbs and spices, it's a no-go. Overall I would recommend this product. It is a little pricey but it's obviously well made with quality parts. The convenience of being able to take it on the go is definitely a plus. Personally, I will be taking it with me camping, which is very convenient and as long as it is charged ahead of time, it doesn't need to be plugged in to work. B07CV1JTMN US
Eureka Zenith 65 E Commercial Espresso Grinder (Polished Chrome) 5 No reason to be on the fence with this grinder CS*** Fantastic Espresso grinder. Once dialed in I usually set it and forget it. If your wanting to go between drip / Espresso and other brews its not necessarily the best option. If you can swing it, get a smaller grinder for other brew methods and keep this one a dedicated Espresso grinder. No issues setting it up and dialing it in. I researched and researched Espresso grinders and settled in on this one. My only hesitation was possibly going up to the Olympus 75. But am happy I stayed with this model. B0C1NHY65L US

COTGCO Portable Electric Coffee Grinder, Small and Quiet USB Rechargeable Espresso Grinder with Stainless Steel Blade, for Ho 5 No more fear of a power outage lack of coffee D23W*** One of my oddly specific life fears is waking up to a power outage and realizing I can’t make coffee because my regular grinder won’t work. This little grinder has honestly brought me an unreasonable amount of peace of mind — and probably saved my wallet from emergency coffee shop runs too. What surprised me most is how sturdy and well made it feels for a portable grinder. It has a much heavier-duty feel than I expected, with durable stainless steel burrs and a rechargeable battery that lasts a long time between charges. It doesn’t feel flimsy or like a travel gadget at all. It is definitely well worth the money spent. I also really appreciate the multiple grind settings. I switch between French press and pour over regularly, and it has no problem producing the right grind consistency for both. Being able to customize the grind size makes this feel much more versatile than basic one-setting portable grinders. The portability is another huge advantage. It packs up easily and has become something I automatically bring when traveling to visit family or staying away from home. I no longer have to wonder whether someone has a coffee grinder available or settle for pre-ground coffee while traveling. An added bonus is that it’s fairly quiet compared to many grinders, which is especially nice in the early morning when not everyone else is awake yet. Overall, this is a sturdy, versatile, and genuinely useful portable coffee grinder that works just as well for emergency backup use at home as it does for travel and camping. B07R19663C US
Coffee Machine Cleaning Brush, Dusting Espresso Grinder Brush Accessories for Bean Grain Coffee Tool Barista Home Kitchen 4 Pretty good Paula C*** Like the other reviews were saying, this is indeed a pretty big brush, but not unfunctionally large or anything. Eureka Mignon Notte Espresso Grinder | 150g | 50mm Steel Burrs | Stepless | Black 5 Best Grinder for its price Amazon C*** Had this grinder for about 6 months already. Was already looking at Seattle Coffee Gear for their Seette 270wi. BUT THANKFULLY they came out with the exclusive Eureka Notte Grinder. The other Mignon Grinders were a little out of my range for its price but what really attracted me to them was thier infinite grind setting. The notte has a very nice adjustment nob thats not super loose but stiff enough to retain its setting and make minute adjustments to grind. Perfect for espresso and also has the capabilities to do larger grinds if needed. Don't really care too much about noise level in my situation so thats not a problem for me. Granular size as well is very consistent. Overall the build quality is amazing as well and feels like it will last me for years on end. B0955Z99GM US
Flair Espresso PRO 2 Manual Espresso Maker 5 No regrets so far Cool *** I've had my machine for about 3 weeks now. It works wonderfully, and it's sexy AF. It's beautiful on my countertop. The tastiest coffee that I can brew at home without a big fancy espresso machine that is $500+. One thing to note is that you're going to need a good espresso grinder (I got the OXO conical burr grinder and it's adequate), an electric kettle (or anything that has a spout), a scale, and a WDT. Without the accessories, you won't get good espresso. I'm a petite thin female so don't really have a lot of upper body strength. That is also one other thing to keep in mind. Having a strong arm to pull the shot at a 9 bar pressure does require muscle lol I have my BF pull the lever because he's a big burly guy =). that's it. just some things to keep in mind if you're going to pull the trigger on this baby. I love mine so much, I look forward to mornings because I get a fantasic cup of coffee. Also, the whole process is fun because you're so interactive with the device. Portable Electric Coffee Bean Grinder with 40 Adjustable Settings, Small Espresso Grinder Rechargeable Burr Coffee Grinder with Multiple Grinding Settings for Travel, Camping, Home & Office. 3 Too slow to be practical RodeM*** This was my first burr-style coffee grinder. The good - The coffee it ground seemed to have good uniformity. The battery seems to power it for several grinds. Grind size is selectable from 1 to 50 - Fifty being 'coarse' and one being a very fine 'espresso' grind. The bad - It is slow. Achingly slow. Three minutes to grind enough for one cup of coffee (2 Tbs, about 14 grams) on the most coarse setting. I honestly didn't have the patience to wait for it on the more fine settings. Unfortunately, the course grind yielded 'weak coffee' according to my wife, and I agreed. I then used the same beans in an old spinny coffee grinder and it tasted better and was ready in 15 seconds. Perhaps if you are on a hike, and the idea of not grinding your coffee fresh on the trail each day upsets you and you don't mind adding time to your coffee rituals, this one can work for you. If you're anxious for a good cup of coffee to grab before heading off to work, you may wish to look for something else. The maximum capacity of the grind chamber is 31 grams - a little over an ounce. Charges via USB-C port and the cable (but not the adapter) is included. A cleaning brush is tossed in the box. Less than stellar instructions, and the 'auto grind' feature ran for about 20 seconds and then it stops, yielding perhaps a couple grams of coffee. B0C1NHY65L US

Portable Electric Coffee Bean Grinder with 40 Adjustable Settings, Small Espresso Grinder Rechargeable Burr Coffee Grinder with Multiple Grinding Settings for Travel, Camping, Home & Office. 4 Please charge C-C I judge USB*** I bought this thinking it would be my "throw it in a bag and have good coffee anywhere" solution, and it mostly delivers, just with a bit of patience required. Size and storage are great. It's compact enough to live next to my Aeropress setup without taking over the counter, and it looks clean, not like a gadget you want to hide. Setup is simple too, no learning curve. Dial in your grind and go. I've been using it around setting 11 for Aeropress, and the grind quality is actually solid. Consistency is good enough that my brews taste dialed in and repeatable, which I didn't fully expect at this size. The tradeoff is speed. It's not fast. It takes me about 2 to 3 minutes to grind enough beans for a single cup, which feels long when you’re standing there waiting for coffee. I got accustomed to pressing the button and letting it grind, then walking away. It does stop grinding automatically once it's through. One design gripe, and the reason for the missing star. It doesn’t support USB-C to USB-C charging. You have to use USB-C to USB-A, which is a lazy choice in 2026. B00YCP6ZNU US
De'Longhi 15 Bar Pump Espresso Machine with Advanced Cappuccino System, Compact Stainless Steel Espresso Maker with Premium M 5 Ranges from OK to Great, Depending on Effort Investment Ad*** ** 1. TL;DR: The De'Longhi ECP is a budget priced, bare bones espresso machine that has tons of room to grow. It works decent enough to enjoy an alright cappuccino straight out of the box, but it only becomes impressive with upgrades. ** 2. Overly Deep Dive: The aforementioned upgrades would be: 1.) a bottomless portafilter (@20-30 bucks,) 2.) a precision basket (20ish bucks,) 3.) a good tamper (10-30 bucks,) 4.) a WDT tool (10 bucks,) and 5.) a milk frothing jug, if you like cappuccinos and lattes (10 bucks.) Probably an espresso scale too (10-40 bucks...) *I'd personally recommend an IMS triple basket for this machine. Triples pull the best shots... Also, a decent grinder is required, but that's really its own separate topic... Another $100 might sound like a lot to spend on a machine with a $100 base price.., but, objectively, it's still an extremely inexpensive setup for home espresso, especially when this machine (with those add-ons) is capable of going toe-to-toe in shot quality against machines that cost ten times more. In all likelihood, this "entry level" espresso machine will either be one of two things for you: 1. ...A novelty item that allows you to have the occasional cappuccino experience at home; in which case, you need nothing extra, and can enjoy the "easy-mode" version of this machine right out of the box. Or 2. ...This machine will evolve with you and your capacity for appreciating better and better coffee until you find a level that satisfies you; or else, reach a point where you find yourself considering an espresso machine that costs around $1500 or more.., which is roughly how much you need to spend to get a machine that offers a worthwhile upgrade. The general consensus of coffee experts (and passionate intermediaries) seems to be that the order of importance regarding good or bad coffee is as follows: Beans > Barista Skill > Grinder > Espresso Machine This is useful to keep in mind. Meaning, if you get your coffee from the supermarket, for instance; or if you prefer to get your beans pre-ground; it would very likely be a waste of money to buy an espresso machine much more expensive than this one.., or to expect amazing results. But that's not to say espresso machines don't make a difference. There are some things you simply don't get with every machine. Single boilers vs dual boilers... Heat exchange... Thermal block... OPV... Different features can dramatically change operation and ease of use. The De'Longhi ECP is a reliable single boiler machine that has proven itself surprisingly capable, and is arguably the lowest priced machine that can yield genuinely high level espresso. Would I like to own a $5000 La Marzocca Mini or Olympia Cremina..? Of course... But, I've seen blind taste tests where people actually preferred the shot made with the ECP to the one made with the La Marzocca... And numerous posts on reddit where people are trying to diagnose leaks or major pressure malfunctions on their super expensive machines... For only a hundred dollars, the ECP wouldn't be heartbreaking to outright replace. The term "coffee journey" is thrown around a lot on the internet, and while it's corny, it is applicable. So, I thought I'd share the evolution of my personal espresso setup over the last couple years, thinking it might give those curious an idea of what to expect. ** 3. Progression: - I started with the stock, straight out of box, setup. Bought a solid tamper early on because the stock one is cheap plastic. Was enjoying homemade cappuccinos from day one, but the pressurized basket did not get the nice rich crema you see in espresso videos. Didn't matter much; was only making cappuccinos and it was fun. Upgraded to a bottomless portafilter and IMS precision basket after a few weeks. Bottomless extractions are harder. You actually have to do a decent job with your puck prep to get your shots to come out good, but if you succeed, the results are dramatically better. The learning curve isn't brutal though, and the internet is loaded with resources for this. Bought a cheap WDT tool. Makes a difference. Got some tools that weren't so useful; a gravity tamper, a distribution leveler, and some puck screens. I felt my shots came out better without them... Still had a super cheap grinder at this point, but my espresso shots were much improved, and my coffee selection was already pretty advanced. I was making cappuccinos and iced lattes that my wife and I both felt were better than ones you could get at most coffee shops... I upgraded to a decent grinder- the Baratza Encore ESP. Sounded pricey at around 200 bucks, but it's one of the cheapest fair-quality espresso grinders on the market. This upgrade made a very noticeable difference. Suddenly, coffee shops became kind of disappointing compared to what we drank at home... I started trying and learning more about different beans. Started to prefer single origins to blends. Blends are often better for milk drinks, but have much less much depth as the cup cools if you're drinking straight espresso... Realized most of my favorites were from Columbia, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Nicaragua. Got too confident with the regions and roast preferences, and eventually realized Ethiopia and Columbia also produce many beans I hate. Meaning, not only regions, but varietals matter. Started favoring pink bourbons, maragogipes, chirosos, and sidras... Despite really enjoying my daily coffee; sometimes, I'd pull a shot that was not only good, but exceptional.., so I knew there was still untapped potential. I spent time dialing in my grind sizes, dosages, and techniques. Started to prefer straight shots by this point. I upgraded grinders again at about the 2 year mark. This time, to a DF64, which was about 400 bucks. This thing was a huge level jump. Really improved light roasts especially, and brought out new dimensions in some of the old standby stuff I had drunk a million times. While I don't claim to be a professional barista or anything, I feel confident that, on pure taste, texture, and bean selection; the shots I'm pulling at this point would satisfy even the most pretentious coffee snob... All using this $100 DeLonghi ECP machine. I would add that at no point was I ever drinking anything I didn't like. You just start to get a sense of how much more potential there is for certain beans and try to bring out or enhance specific flavors/tasting notes, which might feel muted... I've gotten a few dud extractions, here and there.. But, invariably, it was due to user error or purchasing beans I disliked. At some point, I might upgrade to a fancier machine, but it will be largely psychological, or for a more solid build, or for enhanced pressure control features.., not because I feel there's much room for improvement in the taste or quality of my espresso. This thing has absolutely delivered. ** 4. General Tips: - 1. Grind fresh. A significant percentage of the flavor compounds and aromas in coffee dissipate within 20-30 minutes of grinding, to be lost forever. 2. Try a lot of different coffee beans. Regional offerings and varietals can taste quite different. And different roasters put their own unique effects/profiles on even identical beans. To figure out what you like best, it's useful to figure out your favorite countries of origin, your favorite varietals, and a handful of roasters you like... Eventually, you might care a lot about processing methods too. 3. Tweak your dosing. Grinding finer or coarser, and/or changing volume is sometimes essential to get a quality shot from bean to bean. For instance, light roasts typically are the hardest to dial in for espresso; often requiring more volume and more unpredictable extraction times than dark roasts if you keep grind size the same... 4. A small espresso scale is worth having, even if it's not absolutely necessary. It's all approximation and variation without one. There are cheap .01 gram scales for 10 bucks on Amazon. It's good practice, you'll pull fewer bad shots, and it'll be easier to dial in difficult/unique beans. 5. While there are many great roasters out there, and you might prefer to support your local businesses, the internet makes it easy to try a wide variety of coffee. Here are a few roasters I feel are great introductions to specialty coffee in the USA: Proud Mary, Onyx, Dune, Black and White, Bird Rock, Elixr, and Huckleberry. 6. Roast date is important for espresso. Anything roasted much longer than a month ago is unlikely to pull a great shot (elite tier modern light roasts are an exception to this...) 7. I personally believe that you can learn a lot about your individual coffee preferences if you compare two similar Kenyan varietals, SL28 and SL34, and decide which one you like better, and why... ** 5. Scoring Features: - A. Quality of Espresso: A1. Stock, Out of Box: 2.5/5 ★; Fine for casual milk-based coffee drinks, especially if making sugary, flavored beverages, like iced caramel lattes... But barely passable for straight espresso. A2. With Upgrades and Moderate Skill: 5/5 ★; Developing some espresso skills and picking up a few accessories really changes what this machine can do, in a big way. B. Milk Frothing: 3.5/5 ★; Gets the job done and can come out pretty good if you're skilled, but it isn't ideal for making fancy latte art. You can mod the steam wand a bit to produce more power by removing the metal on the panarello, but when I tried this, it didn't seem to improve texture much, and became easier to scald the milk. Milk frothing is basically an entirely separate skill. What matters most, for taste, is heating the right temperature for sweetness, which luckily, is easier to get the hang of than producing the ideal consistency for latte art... C. Heatup Time: 5/5 ★; Very quick. I typically turn the machine on when I start to make coffee. Dose and grind beans, puck prep, then tamp. Then, I'll purge some water from the group head and wait a moment for the "ready light" to come back on before I pull my shot. There's no onboard temperature gauge, so I find doing this before pulling each shot gets you closer to extracting at the ideal temperature. D. Looks: 3/5 ★; It's fine, but it won't win any beauty contests. It's a compact machine, so it saves counter space, but compact machines rarely look as nice as big opulent machines with levers and knobs and dials... E. Maintenance/Workflow: 4.5/5 ★ ; Fairly simple to use. Easy to clean. Low maintenance. The stainless steel model has been easy to clean, and still looks pretty new after two years of daily use. The removable drip tray allows you to fit taller cups under the portafilter. The water tank/reservoir is also removable, but I find it's easier to pour your water directly into the tank rather than remove it.. I also purge some water from the group head after every shot, and run the frothing wand into a cup filled with clean water after every use until it gets hot, to keep everything clean and clear of gunk buildup. Lastly, I use Delonghi's EcoDeCaulk to descale every month or so... To me, it's very little maintenance for a machine I use daily, and it's been quite reliable. As a sidenote, some people complain that the portafilter is hard to fit into the grouphead. My experience was that it was a snug fit in the beginning, requiring a bit of a bear hug to properly seat, but after only a few weeks, it stopped being an issue completely. I have several portafilters from various brands, and they all fit the machine nicely. The 51mm diameter is not the most common size for 3rd party manufacturers, however, so 3rd party accessories are not as common as you'll find with 58mm machines... F. Value: 5/5 ★ ; Pretty hard to beat. While there are a few similar things on the market, the Breville Bambino is probably the closest competitor to the ECP. The Bambino is priced at about $300, so it's more than double the ECP... But if you plan on using your espresso machine as more of a novelty/occasional fun experience, the Bambino is probably better/easier straight out of the box (no mods.) It's worth noting that many budget machines will also have upgrade potential. However, they will also require you buy much of the same crap to achieve an upgraded experience (bottomless portafilters, wdt tool, etc...) One big advantage the ECP has over other budget options is that it has a direct heating element... Most other budget machines, like the Bambino, use "on demand heating" or thermal block, which is faster to heat, but does not actively heat the water directly in the group head... Additionally, the ECP has a stainless steel boiler, not aluminum... These features are quite unique for a budget machine, and make a difference in taste. For the price, the quality of shots you can get on the ECP is kind of shocking... ** 6. Limitations: - Since the ECP is a no frills, "cheap" espresso machine, it does not have the fancy features you'll see on $1500-2k machines... Such features are probably meaningless to someone considering their first machine, but could be useful to an advanced home barista... Such as: No pressure or temperature gauge. No PID. No pre-infusion. No OPV. No shot timer. No real way to do pressure/flow profiling... It's not a dual boiler, which means you can get temperature inconsistencies and delays if you're going back and forth between steaming milk and pulling shots... Some of these features, you'll never miss, and some you might find you really want. Regardless, you'll probably have to hit the $1500 price tag to get them... All said, the ECP is a low-cost espresso machine that allows you to acclimate to the learning curve required for making quality espresso; and will help you understand what features are actually important to you before you randomly spend a large sum of money on a wildly expensive machine made in Italy or Germany that might not give you what you're looking for anyway.., especially considering this machine is capable of satisfying high coffee expectations under the right conditions... ** 7. Final TL;DR: - 5/5 ★ It's good. Get it. B07CSKGLMM US

Solis Scala Zero Static Coffee & Espresso Grinder, Black/Black 4 Decent, affordable grinder for non espresso coffee brews. B. La*** I think this is a great little grinder. It’s not too loud and does a fine job with coarser grinds. I have found anything finer than a 13-15 on its coarseness setting means you’ll have to do a deeper clean after every 2-3rd uses. I’m set at 15 for drip as the finest grind I use and clean now every 5-6th use. One thing that is annoying is that the box for the grinds has a lid with a hole. I find that the hole prevents the grounds from distributing into the container effectively and the last bit get stuck in the shoot and when you remove the container from the grinder it goes everywhere. The grounds container needs the lid to fit snugly into the grinder. Despite this, I find it less haste to simply place the container in w/out the lid and just hold it in for the 30-40 seconds it takes to grind. Small inconvenience for less mess imo. I have not had much static issues if any. Good buy, but there’s probably better for similar or slightly higher cost. We’ll see how it performs long term. B0C1NHY65L US

LEBURRY Burr Coffee Grinder - Portable Espresso Grinder with Stainless Steel Conical Mill for Travel, Camping - Cordless/Rech 1 Major issue with charging reported by multiple customers Amazon C*** Failed after exactly one month of use in the same manner as is described in multiple other 1 star reviews. Will not charge. Verified with a power meter that charging draws current for about 5 seconds then stops. This was on the 3rd or 4th recharge, so the device was not seeing a lot of heavy use. I learned my lesson! Buyer beware - always read through the one star reviews. B0DPRWGP6L US

Single Dose Coffee Grinder with 75 Settings & 40mm Burrs | Anti-Static Espresso Grinder for Home Use | Low Retention Magnetic Outlet | Quiet DC Motor | Vacuum Dosing Cup | LED Light 5 Top notch quality grinder at a low, budget price Pak*** Excellent quality grinder with latest design features. Uniform grinds, with over 70 grind size settings. Perfect for single dose espresso or grinding larger quantities. Great build quality. Love the bellows feature that ensures all grinds come out. Ground retention is 0-0.3g which is much better than a couple other leading electric grinders I tested. Have been using it over a month now and so far it’s been excellent. This can give the more higher end grinders a run for their money. Biggest point is the low price - sub 100. Cannot get any better than this. Buy it now!!! B0FQ5J4MXG US

Conical Burr Coffee Grinder with 40mm Stainless Steel Burr, 34 Grind Settings & Anti-Static, Electric Espresso Grinder for Ho 4 Tons of grind options Lau*** Excellent grind. Only complaint is the spout where the grounds come out. It is angled too sharply to pour directly into my espresso portafilter cup without spraying grounds everywhere. So I use the included plastic cup to catch the grounds, then put into the portafilter cup and level off. B0GCYF39BT US

3 It's not premium, but a definite upgrade from pressurized Amazon C*** I can verify this is a good fit for the Breville Bambino. If you're not aware, switching from the pressurized stock portafilter that came with the machine to a bottomless portafilter will require some changes to your routine, especially requiring a sufficient espresso grinder and fresh beans. The dosing funnel was secure enough, and the screen is a nice addition to keep the shower head a bit cleaner. Whether it reduced channeling, I'm unsure since I used a very evenly ground coffee and WDT tool to prep the puck. The handle will not stay screwed on, no matter how tightly I try to turn it, so considering a bit of adhesive. I do not find it quite as comfortable as other handles. It's very smooth, and good weight, just not as nice as the Normcore or Casabrews wooden handled portafilters I use every day with another machine. It's also not as attractive, looking coated rather than stainless steel. I'll definitely update if I discover the surface flaking with use (or rusting). B0GFXD4R98 US
Mahlkönig E64 WS Grind-by-Weight & Sync Home Espresso Grinder | 64 mm Flat Burrs, Electric Grind Control, Wi-Fi, Precision Dosing & App Integration 5 For single beans usage, this is THE grinder to invest in! R of Sco*** This is by far the best grinder I owned in 20 years. If you can afford the price, and you are a single bean user, this is the perfect grinder. Between its accuracy and speed using its built in scale, to the feedback loop that allows auto adjustments by entering the actual shot time, you get perfect grind from your 2nd shot. I only wasted a single shot for the very first grind. It is also much quieter than my previous Rocky grinder and much much faster (double shot dose in about 8-9 seconds, with no hands. This is a game changer for me. The adjustable mount allows to place any standard portafilter with no issue. They do have an app that you can connect to configure a monitor your shot recipes, and I like that you can have different recipes linked to different portafilter, that are detected by weight of the portafilter. Couple of lessons learned: - the spout is adjustable so you can point it to the center of your portafilter and avoid any spill or mess - the initial setup and firmware updates are not as smooth as I hoped; and until you upgrade it, most chances it will not sync with their cloud service. I had to attempt the initial setup twice. As for value for money: I don’t know to set a value for the money because it is quite expensive, but the quality of my shots, since using this grinder, is close to perfection, and I was personally ready to put the money into my grinder to match the quality of my Rocket espresso machine. Espresso Machine 20 Bar with Conical Burr Grinder 5 Consistent and reliable espresso grinder! Aaron *** For context, I primarily make pour overs and espresso. I bought this grinder specifically to shoot out against my KitchenAid grinder (KCG8433) which I have always considered to be pretty good with course settings but rather frustrating with the finest few for espresso. My shots would consistently pull too quickly, even on the finest grind setting (for that machine, #70). It's possible I have a slightly defective unit or something, but that's been my experience. In contrast, this grinder not only pulls great on-time shots with the middle espresso settings (I'm using #4 with fresh beans) but also upon visual inspection actually does provide a more uniform grind than the similarly-set KitchenAid. The KitchenAid is a quieter grinder — this one has a moderate volume hiss — but in every other category, I prefer this one strongly. I'm making better coffees now than I have in a long time. :) B09QT57BT9 US
