Strongly suggest you do not buy. The biggest issue is that the locations of the “catch” (where the handle stops) is exactly in line with your feet. That means at the end of your stroke, you should be able to reach further, but you can’t. That’s not something you can fix with technique or size - it’s just poorly designed. Additionally, the feet straps are awkward. I could over look that, but still, it’s a bad design. Yes, this is quiet. Yes, it’s smooth. But everything else? Terrible. Do. Not. Buy. B0CY4WBZY3 US

It could be that I associate that medal rubbing sound to the whoosh of water in a water rower which I found pleasant when using water rowers. I am not an athlete so this rower is good enough for me. I can feel the changes in tension and some are challenging for me. I feel I get a good workout with the rower. It is the perfect size for the space I have for it. It feels sturdy and durable. Since I learned that folding the rower for storage may increase the risk of pinching the wires that connect the seat to the console, I won't fold it. The only negative about this rower is how low to the ground it is. I tried the app and though I think it would be nice to have, I'm not going to subscribe to get what are in my opinion basic metrics. I can see charging for the workout videos but if I'm not mistaken you don't get access to strokes per minute without paying for the app's subscription. Additionally, there are so many ads. If you are not careful, you'll be clicking on some ad rather than your workout results- frustrating. Cost wise, apps ends up costing more than the exercise equipment over the long run. I'll just have to find another way. I wanted the Avion rower but couldn't see paying for the subscription to get the on screen training motivators (arcade games) I thought would be cool. I'm not going to do that for this rower either but I did think I'd be able to track my metrics with the free portion of the app but that does not seem to be the case. I would recommend this rower to someone who wants a rower to help the get and stay fit and is okay without all the bells and whistles an app subscription may provide. I'm pleased with my purchase.
