The biggest problem with that dream is what is in your closet. This is the first thing you need to ask yourself when you start planning. If your closet is full of Christmas wrap/decorations, blankets, any and everything storage, then converting is going to be a problem. Start working on culling and relocating your non-clothing items as soon as you decide on a system. I shopped the name brand systems that come to your house, asset from your person and home how much you can afford and quote that. I simply do not trust a company that cannot publish a standard cost. This company puts their cost right up front and all their selections. You are in control of what and how much right off the bat. They are also a better price, per quality of goods, i.e.. metal instead of PVC, than any other I priced. With all these moving parts, many of which you get to decide how and what direction on your own, you'd think it would be difficult. Nope. The parts are segregated well by packaging, clearly labeled and described in the instructions. As you can see there is a bend in my closet. The instructions handle all this so easily. Also you have these little arms that stick out for purses and hats, that rotate where you want them. All is covered in the instructions that are written in careful and understandable English. Now for the one star I took off. There is super quality in the materials used in this system. A beautiful bronzed metal that is smoothly finished for no nicks or pulls on your clothing. But notice the two pictures that focus on the middle of the rods. The metal rods are made to slide in and out to adjust in length. But the bit in the middle (where the weight is centered) is made out of plastic. Somebody's gonna have to talk me through the engineering decision to made your most pivotal point the weakest link. If you've only got 7 shirts and four pairs of pants like the product pics show then you won't have a problem. But I have a lot of clothes. I don't know long this will hold up, but I can update if it fails. One other possible flaw and a work around for it, is adding shelves or other bits. This company does not sell parts. But they do sell a single section for about $98. dollars. Gut that section for whatever you are wanting to add, and keep the rest of the bits in case of wear and tear. Right now I'm extremely happy with my new closet. I'm still moving and adjusting, but I wanted to get my review in so others can be enjoying a new closet with full knowledge.
