JA*** I have an off-brand grill that looks a lot like a Green Egg. This cover fits perfectly. The cover I had previously was a fleece lined vinyl cover. It fit well enough but did not have the cinch straps around the base, so mice could get under it in the winter…not what you want around your grill. Hopefully these cinch straps will not only keep the cover secure, but also keep the pests out. The vents are a really nice feature also – I have had problems with moisture build up which causes the cast iron grates to rust. The material has a nice heavy quality feel that looks like it will hold up much better than the typical vinyl covers. Finally – it came in a very nice zippered pouch which appears to be made of the same fabric. This keeps the cover protected and compact when not in use. Unfortunately, as with most storage pouches like this, it is made to exactly fit the neatly folded original product. Once you have used the cover, it is very difficult to get back in this bag. The handle on my old cover had deteriorated and come apart and it was very faded and starting to look sad. To my delight, the material on this new cover was as thick as my old cover, which I liked very much. It has a sturdy, waterproof inner surface with a heavy 600 Denier outer layer that protects the smoker from the elements. I have an 18” Saffire ceramic grill, and this cover fits very well and securely, leaving ample space for the handles. The upper chimney cap area is oversized, but will not deter from protecting the smoker. There are straps to tighten around the legs, preventing the cover from being blown away by our Midwest winds. The cover is improved over my previous model in that I can cinch the sides more tightly, despite the lack of a cinch cord at the very bottom of the cover. Additionally, there’s a convenient vent that allows humidity to escape, preventing rusting and interior mildew. I particularly appreciate the handle on the top, which makes it easy to remove the cover. Since my old handle broke down, I’m glad to have this convenience once again. The cover can be folded back into the storage bag while using the smoker, but we just leave ours off to the side when using the smoker, so I will probably repurpose the bag to put my grandson’s cars into. Once installed, it does a good job covering the entire umbrella, and I appreciate that it includes a matching storage pouch for keeping the cover organized when not in use. However, I have some concerns about the accuracy of the product description. The listing repeatedly highlights that this is made from "600D heavy-duty polyester," but the material feels only slightly thicker than a typical rain umbrella fabric. I own a grill cover that is also advertised as 600D polyester, and that material is noticeably thicker, heavier, and more rugged than this cover. The listed specifications are also questionable. The product details state that the cover weighs 16 ounces (1 pound), but the actual cover feels significantly lighter than that. Another discrepancy involves the zipper. The description claims there is a "heavy-duty full-length side zipper" that runs from top to bottom, allowing one person to install the cover while standing on the ground. In reality, the zipper only extends from about the midpoint of the cover to the bottom. Because of this, you'll likely need a stool, ladder, or a stick to help raise the cover over the top of a tall offset umbrella. Overall, the cover fits well and comes with a nice storage bag, but several of the advertised features do not appear to match the product I received. Because of those inconsistencies, I'm giving it 3 stars.
