It is comfortable and easy to use for typing, coding and gaming. The reason for the one star review? There is a bug in the keyboard which causes ghost typing, ghost clicking, closing and opening random windows, and disrupting audio. This makes the keyboard unusable. This issue has been posted in the Corsair forums since August 2022 or earlier. In the numerous pages of customer posts about the same issue, some customers give details of their possible solutions and temporary fixes. These sometimes work for about an hour of use, and then the ghost typing and clicking starts again with a vengeance. The Corsair representative in the forum, while nice and understanding, has not yet offered any solutions to fix the problem. This is a lesson learned for me--to read reviews and forum posts before purchasing, instead of looking only at star ratings. I am certain that the problem is with the keyboard and not a PC virus because before I discovered that the K100 keyboards had this problem, I wiped my pc and reinstalled windows in an attempt to fix the issues. Pros: - Fairly affordable compared to other prebuilt boards with customizable screens - I specifically decided on this board compared to the eponmaker rt100, because I specifically wanted a screen and was a bit spooked by the quality issues mentioned in some reviews. i'll revisit this review in the future in case this board suddenly keels over or something 👍 - Sounds pretty good out of the box if you're looking for that retro keyboard sound--white switches are clicky but more charming compared to blues - Fun to type on Cons: - No built in slot for the dongle (unless I missed it lol), so be careful not to lose it! - The driver for this keyboard is NOT intuitive haha! You'll figure it out eventually, but it'll be annoying the whole time. Essentially it only works for wired mode, and sometimes the language isn't automatically set to english, so you gotta go to settings and change it first--it'll still be confusing tho - Bluetooth connections are finicky. I didn't have a lot of time when I was first setting this up, but the bluetooth was so uncooperative that I decided to just switch to the dongle. Keep in mind that even if you plug it in while it's on dongle mode or vice versa, it will NOT change until you turn the knob on the keyboard and MANUALLY set it to that connection type. Keep that in mind when using the keyboard driver Also, this isn't about the keyboard specifically, but shipping for this product is... rough... It's very easy to set up and use. I use it for both office-type work and online gaming. It is not a quiet keyboard, typing makes some sound, which I personally prefer. I love the extra controls like the dial for volume. The LED lighting has a lot of customization, even including adding a custom color, if you install the " AULA S99 三模RGB版 " software, but there are also shortcut keys to just quickly flip through the preset modes/colors. It has multiple options for connection(BT/GHz/USB), and they all work smoothly & without error that I've encountered. I like that there is the option to keep it on consistently if it's plugged in(USB), but I wish there was the option to do that while running on its charge too(BT/GHz). If it isn't plugged in, it will go to sleep with inactivity, but that's really my only complaint. I have not noticed any type of lag or input errors when using it. If anything, it's a little extra sensitive and, when first using it, I was typing some double letters by accident, so it is very responsive. I found it to be perfect even for fast-paced online competitive gaming, which says a lot for a small and affordable company/product. For the price, it's a no-brainer. This keyboard has crushed all expectations and concerns. First let's start with build quality. This keyboard is solid with a nice, brushed aluminum face while the rest of the body is a high-quality plastic. I purchased the mechanical version, and I don't think I will ever love the feel of keys more than I do these. They are extraordinarily quiet while still giving feedback while typing. I play video games as well as 3D modeling and 3D printing, so my peripherals matter and need to feel good in a broad range of activities. I don't want to forget to also mention the wrist pad, these often go unnoticed and are underappreciated. The Be Quiet! wrist pad is by far the most comfortable and atheistically pleasing wrist pad I've ever used. Its soft, yet firm and provides the perfect level of support for heavy typing. Next, the tech side of this keyboard. The 8 customizable display keys are phenomenal. They took a little effort to figure out on the software side, but once I figured it out, I was able to get rid of the orange keys and replace with links to programs I actually use with attractive images that correlate with their program. The media Dock, for me, leaves much to be desired. I get it, it's for media, but I just don't see the purpose. As of now, I can't figure out what the custom mode does and the only images that can be displayed, are still images. I would much rather this screen be capable of running far more info, like temps, speeds, and percentages for gaming purposes. That being said, I guess its cooler to have it than to not have it. That being said, the software is great. It was easy to use after a little trial and error and many of the features are solid without being overly complicated. The RGB lighting effects are great, and you get control of lighting each individual key if you choose. The software was so easy to use for the lighting and completely destroys other, more prominent companies with similar software (I'm looking at you Corsair). In conclusion, I love this keyboard. It's a little heavy but not much, it's easy to use, it has controllable brightness and lights up well, the Corsair program on Linux lets me customize color effects, which is something that is also on the official software Corsair does for windows so if you're a windows user it doesn't matter it will be supported.
